Description
I am posting only the gcode for this model, because the sizing was adjusted in Prusa Slicer to be a perfect fit, and because this model was sliced as a multicolor part using three toolheads, with assignment of colors in the slicer.
It's the cover for the gearshift mechanism on the handlebar, to replace a missing one on a 1970 Schwinn Breeze deluxe model. It would very likely fit other bikes using the Sturmey-Archer three-speed hub system as well.
I sliced it to have three colors: white lettering on a black ground, with the body of the part printed in a green glitter filament to match the bike's Campus Green metal flake paint. It looks great in plain silver filament as well. It's a small niche of bicyclists who will need this part, but it's a pleasingly precise fit. It keeps dust out of the mechanism, as it should. I printed mine in PLA, but it also came out great in Flex80 Clear (as a resin print), and would serve its purpose just as well.
