Description
Kitchen aluminum foil used to come in a box with a sharp metal serated edge. Some still does, but the brand we buy has just changed to have only serated cardboard (which is about as sharp as butter). Also, the flimsy cardboard boxes are always falling apart.
These plastic boxes have a sharp edge that makes clean cuts of any material; foil, paper or plastic wrap. The top and bottom print as separate pieces, you then use a length of filament for the hinge. If you have a multi-colour printer, you can add a label.
I've uploaded a few sizes but also the Fusion 360 .f3d file so you can make a box to suit your roll size. The design adds 2mm to whatever roll_len and roll_dia you set (so 1mm of space all around the roll). If the cardboard roll sticks out beyond the foil, be sure to use that as your length measurement.
The 456x34mm just fits on an XL. Sorry, even the smallest (316x38mm) won't fit on a MK2/3/4).
