I wanted the print to be in different colors and larger than my printbed so I printed it in parts and then painted it. Ends up I am no good with painting and even though I clamped the parts together when I glued... I misaligned on two axis.
Enter this model - I broke it apart into each section for filament color separation and avoiding the need to paint. I added a square center pole to ensure right angles. And to avoid confusion after the fact, I added dots indicating which piece and order for assembly. I also extracted the missile rails because I wanted only those to be silver, there are holes where those go after the fact (one being larger to indicate direction).
I would recommend segments 2, 4, and 6 being the bands be the same color (recommend yellow or white). Also recommend segments 1, 3, 5, and 7 be the same color (recommend olive green or black).
A word of warning with this many pieces, if you scale up or down - retain that scaling with ALL pieces. Tolerances for the center strut and missile rails are pretty snug, improper scaling may result in those pieces not fitting.
