Pixel 9 Pro Fold - DN 40 Dock

Inspired by Scott and his amazing DN 40 iPhone dock, I wanted to bring this design to the Pixel world!

The first modification I made was to the internal AirPod charger. I know it was used for its smaller form factor but unfortunately, this only charges the AirPods and Apple watch without standard Qi wireless tech. So I adapted the space to allow for a full-size Apple Magsafe charger, without changing the outer dimensions. This means that Top Space can now charge any wireless device! Pictured above is my Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 charging on top, but you can also charge a second phone up top if you want.

My second modification was to accommodate the unusual shape and position of the charging coils on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This new set-up works specifically to fit the 9 Pro Fold, but because of the uneven weight, it does require some form of magnet on the phone to sit perfectly straight. I’m using the OhSnap attachment. This issue shouldn’t be a problem for non-fold phones.

I made this because I, along with everyone else I’m sure, loved Scott Yu-Jan’s design but felt left out with my unusual phone dimensions which needed a complete redesign to make it work. But given the first modification, I do think this remix could benefit all users, if people are interested I can create this body with new phone models for other Pixels and iPhones.

Update 1:

• Added Case Friendly version - 1.5mm extra space to all sides. This is an untested model, I tried to average out all the different case sizes and kept the depth the same as my original model sat flush with the OhSnap attachment, which was about 2mm.

• 8% Infill - Gyroid
• Tree Support - Increased overhang angle
