Description
The Qidi Q1 Pro SLYCR2 filament cutter for the Qidi Q1 Pro. This version the body is a one piece slimmer design. No need for supports, I have easy to remove supports built into the model. Just simply twist the support and they come right off. Ive included 2 versions each using a differt size spring. Required hardware is a #11 exacto blade and either a 4x20mm or 5x20mm compression spring depending on the model you choose. Recommend printing 3 walls, 20% infill, using abs or better. PETG would be fine if you don’t use the chamber heater much. Using mouse ears may help with printing. This version will still work with the original activator however im doing a redesign on it as well.
Added optional files that will require you to add supports to print if you perfer to add your own supports.
To install:
For the blade face the sharp edge towards the shorter side of the handle. Using a slight wiggling motion push into the handle. I find using a pair of pliers to hold the blade helps.
Insert spring into tube on cutter body. Push blade into slit on side of body. Working it forward and back a few times will help get it into the correct position. Sharp edge should face forward
For the body pull the drag chain out of the mount on the print head. May need to use a small flat head screwdriver to pry with the first time. Insert the outlet of the cutter into the filament inlet on the print head and slide the cutter over the drag chain mount on the print head. Reattach the drag chain inset ptfe tube and filament.
