CADDX GM3 Gimbal Base Plate & Roll-Cage parts for AOS UL7 Quad

Base Plate & Roll-Cage parts made of ASA for CADDX GM3 Gimbal to be mounted on an AOS frames, model UL7 and probably Cine35 EVO.

To check if it will fit other frames before printing everything, just print the “base” piece “Gimbil_Base.stl” and see how will fit your frame and if the holes much your frames bolts. The rear two holes use the GoPro blind nuts and the front use the frame's standoff bolts; need to replace the standoff bolts with longer M3 bolts.

Required Parts

• 6 x M2 x 3mm Heat Set Insert
• 4 x M2 x 4mm SHCS bolts
• 4 x M2 x 6mm SHCS bolts
• 2 x M2 x 6mm BSCS bolts
• 2 x M3 x 12mm BSCS bolts
• 2 x M3 x 6mm BSCS bolts

For bolt location look at attached CAD drawing.

Built sequence 

1. Route the MIPS camera cable according to the CAD drawing.
2. Bolt the GM3 unit to the Gimbal Base part.
3. Bolt the Wall part to the Gimbal Base part.
4. Bolt the Gimbal Base part to the AOS UL7 top plate.
5. Bolt the Veranda part on the Wall part.
6. Attach the IO Cable from the back opening of the Wall part; see attached image.

Notes

• The parts are designed for ASA FDM material like ASA 1.75 Polymaker filament which has superior resistance to UV light vs PLA. These parts are printed on a Voron 2.4r2 printer in a heated chamber.
• The “wall” can be printed straight up or on it's back.
