Probably there are better ways to do this (teflon film for example), but this mod is still better than stock. Main benefit is that if you have a 3d printer you already have all the parts.
Completely degrease the focuser shaft and focuser rail with IPA or something
Print the part as solid as you can
Cut a segment of regular 3Dprinter PTFE tube of the printed part length. It should not extend past the part dimensions like you can see in attached picture!
Cut the tube along its length and give it some squish
Put it in the new part and assemble the focuser. The shaft should spin freely. If it doesn't, check if PTFE tube is misaligned and can't drop inside the tensioner cavity.
Put the focuser in vertical position, insert your planned equipment and tune the tension until it can lift it
