Description
This is a set of models shaped to fit the 'female' socket to which the desk-stand/base attaches onto a Samsung (Type No: U28E570D, Model Code LU28E580DS/EN) monitor. This is only the ‘male’ connector. I assume this thing is used on other Samsung models, but what do I know.
Note that this model isn't useful on its own: I'm just posting it in case it'll be useful in someone's project. You could perhaps make your own stand, or if you're not using the desk stand, use it to make a cup-holder :}.
I made this model (and a minor extension with three holes) so that I could attach the monitor to a VESA-stand whilst upside down - because of Samsung ingeniously positioning the mount at the top of the monitor - using the interlock along with some rope to counteract the flexing of the display due to its own weight. Although the hacky solution worked fine, the result was nonetheless disappointing as the viewing angle of the panel in the monitor really sucks when it's upside down. I mean it's bad enough when it's upright, sheesh.
