Description
The OEM rubber material goos up in a few years and jams the switch, and is sticky to the touch. Yuck.
Print this in TPU, which should have a much longer lifetime. I use NinjaFlex TPU Filament (https://www.amazon.com/NinjaTek-3DNF01117505-NinjaFlex-Filament-Midnight/dp/B078JGZRCK), which has a Shore Hardness rating of 85A.
The design has internal supports for the lip that wraps around the switch body. These need to be trimmed out with a diagonal cutter / wire cutter, then pulled out with a needle nose pliers. The supports are not attached to the internal back wall.
The mounting screw heads are not recessed, so screw them in just far enough to retain the switch. Edge bevels added to the design after these pictures were taken.
Fusion 360 model included.
