Vinyl LP Record Library A-Z and Band Name Dividers

Want an easier way to find records in your vinyl record collection? 

Consider adding a few or several of these letter-labeled dividers, along with tabs for specific bands of your choosing, printed on your Prusa XL Multi-Tool or other large 3D printer. Want to print these using a smaller printer? I'm working on it!

The easiest way to print these dividers is to use the provided .3mf files with PrusaSlicer where all of the multicolor painting is already completed to create letters on both sides of the dividers that are flush with the surface of the dividers. The .stl files can be loaded together as multi-part models in PrusaSlicer, for example loading these three files will create a multi-part “A” divider where you will be able to use multi-color painting to set the A parts on both sides to print in a contrasting color:

1. Separator with Middle Tab and Hollow Center.stl
2. Side 1 Lettering - A.stl
3. Side 2 Lettering - A.stl

To make your own custom band tabs, or to customize the letters, use the blank separator files found in the STL folder:

• Separator with Artist Tab.stl
• Separator with Middle Tab and Hollow Center.stl
• Separator with Middle Tab and Solid Center.stl

You can use PrusaSlicer to add text in the font of your choosing to these files, use a marker to write text onto the blank separators after you print, or attach 3D printed nameplates you design in another application. 

If you don't have multicolor ability, it might be best to print the letter or band name on the top side only. You can adjust the z height and position of the letter or band name so it sticks out above the separator's  body, then set a layer-based filament swap in PrusaSlicer to swap out for a contrasting color when it comes time to print the letter or band name.
