Perfectly Imperfect and Perfect Trophy - 3D Printing Industry Awards

I made this trophy with one thing in mind: Portraying our industry correctly. 

The base of this trophy is inspired by the unique qualities of FDM 3D printers, capturing the complexity and precision these machines bring to additive manufacturing. Each hole in the base is distinct in size and placement, symbolizing the adaptability and flexibility of our industry. 

This irregular pattern not only adds an industrial aesthetic but also highlights the customization potential that technology offers—no two designs need to be identical. The asymmetry of the holes also creates a visually dynamic foundation, evoking a sense of engineered creativity and innovation, perfectly suited for an award celebrating advancements in the 3D printing industry.

It is made up of two parts: 

• The sphere: metal printing
• the body: SLS printing
