Description
The Trident inverted electronics mod is a fantastic upgrade but I wanted a way to route wires to LED lights and a webcam at the top front of the printer down the front left/right vertical extrusions and then along the lower horizontal extrusions from front to back without getting pinched under the bed in its lowest position.
I modified the front left and right Z-motor mounts to include channels that are just large enough for a standard USB cable or a couple of heat-shrinked 18ga wires. The wires sit flush, or nearly flush, with the top of the motor mounts.
Uses original hardware. Standard Voron print spec: 4 walls, 5 top/bottom layers, 40% infill. Parts are oriented for printing, but check the preview for bridging orientation (see attached screenshot).
I have also included the models for the deck plate latches shown in the photos. These are a work-in-progress. They really should be flattened or narrowed slightly to avoid collision with the bed at the very bottom of the Z-travel, but they are working okay for my purposes. Added BOM for the latches is 2x m3x8 SHCS and 2x m3 hammerhead or roll-in T-nuts.
