Qidi Plus 4 Filter 8038 Fan

This simple print allows you to install a 8038 fan as the chamber exhaust. This allows much greater airflow and static pressure if you wish to use a hepa filter on the exhaust.

I used this Sunon fan:  PMD2408PMB3 . Any 24V fan will work, but the wattage shouldn't be too much higher than 5W.

Install

1. Print the shroud from this page
2. Remove the old fan, take note on the mainboard where the plug is.
3. Crimp a JST-XH connector onto the new fan
4. Insert M3 heatsets into the exhaust side of the fan. 
5. Screw the new 8038 fan into the printer with M3x8 or M3x10 coarse threaded screws
6. Screw the shroud into the fan with M3x8 screws. 
7. Plugin the fan were the old fan was.
