WD My Passport Case

Protective TPU casing for WD My Passport 1TB/2TB.
 

Since the HDD doesn't have rubber feet and will scratch over time, I made this thin and minimalistic TPU casing to protect it. The HDD can now be placed on the desk without having to worry about scratches.

It is designed to offer a tight and secure fit when using TPU (94A shore hardness), accounting for the flexing. The front part has a hole for the USB port.

I have designed it for the 2TB version (WDBYVG0020BBK-WESN) which seems to be the same size as the 1TB version. However, the versions with 4TB+ seem to be thicker.

Filament: TPU
I used “Das Filament TPU V2” with a shore hardness of 94A

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Bed adhesion:
I printed it on the Smooth PEI Sheet with little to no glue stick, as the part can warp easily. I ended up getting consistent prints without any warping by not putting any glue stick under the two ends of the part, only a tiny amount in the middle, so the ends won't come off the print bed.
