Description
I wanted to make a version of the little car dashboard drifter that I could use any hot wheels or similar cars on. It could probably be adjusted and tuned a bit more but I thought I would share it in case anyone else wanted to print one.
8mm x 22mm x 7mm bearing
Model car of your choice
A little drop of hot glue to secure the car
There are three versions of the top piece.
NoTabs - Just indents for the wheels, needs hot glue to secure the car
WithTabs - Indents for wheels and tabs in the front of wheel that sort of hold the front bumper of the car, might require glue still
WithClips - Indents for wheels and tabs on three sides of the wheels. The wheels sort of snap in on this one(with some force) and I think you can get away with no glue. Shout out to the 3d printing subreddit for the idea.
UPDATE 11/11/2025:
I have now added a mini version of both pieces in case you want to just glue your car. I find the clips don't always work right and I end up just gluing it anyways so I figured why not just make it a little simpler and smaller and fit together/print nicer. It doesn't have the angle on the top but if you offset the car when gluing, it seems to work decently well!
