Description
A simple wall mounted bracket that will hold an ipad or other tablet. By wall mounting, it's out of the way while charging. Can additionally be used as a temporary mounting location, for example in a kitchen or bathroom. The design does not latch the tablet in place, so it can be easily put down on the brackets and picked back up again. The depth of the hook at the base is 30 mm to accommodate thick cases.
Mounts with #8 countersunk or sheet metal screws. I used sheetrock anchors for the screws. The screws are vertically spaced 5" on center on each bracket, and the lateral spacing between brackets should be adjusted to whatever fits your devices. I used 5" lateral spacing for a 2020 ipad air, which allows either landscape or portrait orientation.
I used Hatchbox wood fill PLA, 20% adaptive cubic infill, 3 perimeters and 0.35 mm layer height. No supports are required when printing the bracket on its side. You may need to clean up some messy bridging in the screw cavities with an xacto knife, but they aren't visible once mounted.
