Pannier-Rack-to-Topeak-Pannier-Rack Adapter

This part converts most pannier racks into a topeak pannier rack. I have a bike with a topeak pannier and topeak bag, but it would be nice to be able to use the bag on other bikes without having to buy another topeak pannier rack/ redo the pannier rack setup on another bike.

My Athens Explorer has a rather simple pannier on it. I wanted to incorporate the ease of a Topeak Quicktrack rail onto it.

There are 3 different designs:

• Bar design - The rack shown in the picture. Its for racks that have bars that are 5mm wide and spaced by 70mm, with an initial space of 30mm. Uses 3 m4x300m threaded rods, 6 m4x30mm bolts, 12 m4 nuts, and these mending plates.
• Universal bar design - This should fit on a wider range of barred panniers. There are 2 parrallel M4 slots running 40mm apart down the adapter. This should allow panniers with different bar spacings to still work with this adapter. Uses 3 m4x300m threaded rods, 6 m4x30mm bolts, 12 m4 nuts, and these mending plates.
• Universal center Design - Current center bolt design is for m4 bolts. The design is for panniers with a bolt hole down the middle of the pannier. Uses 2 m4 bolts, 4 m4x300m threaded rods, and 10 m4 nuts.

14/06/2024 V2: Increased rail slot bottom width from 62mm to 63mm as the slot was tight on a Topeak MTX Bag.

15/06/2024 V2.1: Changed spacing for the m4 holes in the bottom to fit the rack better. Front is 30mm from the first bar; Each bar is ~5mm in diameter; Bars are spaced by 70mm. Added a universal bar version and a center bolt version for different panniers.
