This 3D-printable scalp scrubber/hair brush offers a comfortable and practical solution for scalp massages or gentle hair washing. The design includes:
- Handle Base: Choose between two ergonomic styles—plain or with a grip-enhancing knob.
- Pad Retention Ring: A threaded ring that secures the TPU Massage Pad in place, recommended to be printed with a textured finish for smoother threading.
- TPU Massage Pads: Flexible and soft for a relaxing massage experience or brushing your hair.
This modular design allows for easy customization. Print the base in rigid filament (PLA, ABS, or ASA) and the massage pad in TPU for the best results.
Printer Settings
- Nozzle: Printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle; also compatible with 0.4 mm.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm recommended for threaded sections
- Material Recommendations:
- Handle Base & Pad Retention Ring: PLA, ABS, or ASA.
- Massage Pad: TPU
- Special Notes:
- For the Pad Retention Ring, use fuzzy skin on the contour for easier threading.
- Ensure a clean and precise first layer for optimal part alignment.
- Supports: Not required for any parts.
- Wall thickness: >2mm feel free to play with the wall, top and bottom thicknesses with the pad to get the right feel for you.
Use and Maintenance
Use:
- Attach the TPU Massage Pad to the Handle Base using the Pad Retention Ring.
- Hold the base (with or without the knob) comfortably in your hand.
- Gently massage the scalp in circular motions, applying light pressure as needed.
- Rinse thoroughly after each use to remove any product or residue.
Maintenance:
- Disassemble the parts for easy cleaning.
- Wash all components with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Allow parts to air dry completely before reassembly.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to maintain the durability of the TPU pad and base.
