Filament Spool Holder

Update: now can print with no supports (xxxx_long version).

It holds the standard filament spool and it won't fall off. I use it, it works for me! I tried to design it with strength and not a hideous amount of filament or lengthy printing time, minimal or no supports (none needed with xxxx_long version). Fits on my Prusa Mini+ print sheet (see included .3mf file…).

[2024-11-28 Update]: I added .stl model / .3mf / .gcode files with (xxxxx_long) with a 10mm longer shaft that should work with wider spools (like Amazon Basics), better screw holes, and no supports needed during printing.

Tips:

• When using on a tabletop, tape or clamp it to the surface so it stays in place during a print and doesn't slide with vibration. I clamp mine on the “feet”. Thick double-sided tape would also work great.
• For wall mount, recommend using flat-head screws (like drywall screws) in the 2 topmost small holes in the legs (xxxx_long version recommended).
