Description
This is a license plate frame that should fit any state tag in the USA. I included the step files, and not the stl files because it is designed to put a company name, or family name on the bottom. You'll need to import it into your favorite CAD software and add whatever custom words onto it. Then you can export it as an STL, and print it.
I redesigned my original tag frame to remove one weakness I found. I had issues with it cracking at the joint between the two halves after a few years. The frame is now a single piece and since it doesn't fit on my Prusa I got it printed online in SLS nylon for strength and a nice matte surface finish.
I'm not affiliated with these guys in any way, but I'm a happy customer. https://www.jawstec.com/
I printed two of the frames in black dyed SLS nylon with no extra post processing for right at $85 USD. I then printed the text on my Prusa and attached the letters. I chose to model in all the screw holes and use tiny screws for each letter, but on my previous frame I used super glue to hold the letters on and didn't have any issues.
