The Z Gantry and X Carriage for the SV06 PLUS on Steroids project have been meticulously designed to enhance robustness and precision while maintaining simplicity. The provided STL files are pre-oriented for optimal 3D printing.

Left Z Carriage

• Integrated Features: Includes a built-in camera mount (using a budget-friendly camera, linked below) and channels for secure USB cable routing to the back, capped for neat management. The X and Z end-stops, linked below are integrated for improved positional accuracy.
• Hardware Requirements:
  • Heat Set Inserts (7total) 5xM3x4.5ODx4mm long and 2xM3x4.5ODx5.7mmlong:
    • 2 for securing the LM8UU bearing cap.
    • 1 for strain relief mounted to the X stepper motor holder.
    • 2 for mounting the lead screw nut to the carriage.
    • 2 (longer inserts) to attach the X stepper motor holder to the left Z carriage.
• Retains original LM8UU bearings, lead screws, and lead screw nuts for compatibility.

Right Z Carriage

• Features: Simpler design using the original belt tensioner and LM10UU bearings.
• Hardware Requirements:
  • Heat Set Inserts (4 total) 4xM3x4.5ODx4mmlong:
    • 2 for the LM10UU bearing cap.
    • 2 for securing the lead screw nut to the carriage.

X Carriage

• Design Features: Houses 17 heat set inserts for assembly and securing an EBB42 or EBB36 control board. The carriage is divided into three parts for ease of assembly and robustness. Original LM10UU bearings and the X-axis belt are retained.

Camera Integration

We recommend using this affordable camera option for monitoring prints or creating timelapses. While this solution is functional, we are exploring alternatives for future improvements.
