Description

Best effort attempt at recreating an Owala water bottle model. I used the specs from the website and my own bottle.

Updates:

  • A huge thank you to everyone (@Hondaman74_265897, @EmilyTaylor_3024203, @Agne_2844318, @Dieselmh_2984182) who helped me reproduce the issues with the splitting threads of the bottle model and test new versions on Bambu printers! The new files are now uploaded and ready to go.
    • Note that unfortunately what needed to be changed means these new bottle and lids are not compatible with the old ones. If you'd like the files to the previous versions, see the OnShape link below or send me a DM.
  • You all were so kind and supportive that I wanted to also release new remixes of this model including a 24oz bottle and multicolor print files just to give an extra special thanks to this awesome community.
    • I don't have many nice pictures of these new versions yet if you all want to help by posting pics of your makes. :)
  • You can also find the updated print in place lid model here.

100% scale is life size. I recommend scaling down to 35% to print a cute little miniature which can hold a chapstick.

Bottle

  • 15% infill
  • No Supports
  • 0.2 Layer Height

Lid/Handle/Spout Cover

  • 15% infill
  • Organic/Tree Supports Everywhere
  • 0.2 Layer Height
  • If you print at a very small scale, consider adding a brim/raft as I had trouble with the small pieces not adhering to the print bed.
  • For the lid: Schedule a color change at the seam just above the “owala” label. This will make it look closer to the real life color scheme. :)

I can't guarantee that this model is exact enough to use as a foundation to make real life accessories, but if you have suggestions and/or updates, please let me know!

If you're interested in remixing this model or if you want to download the original print files from previous versions: here is the Onshape link.
