Description
Have a look at the 3D model including texture on Sketchfab here.
3D model based on a 3D scan of a reconstruction of a dodo (Raphus cucullatus), the now extinct flightless bird which was endemic to the island of Mauritius. The first eyewitnesses of the dodo were a Dutch fleet led by Van Warwjick in 1598 - within 100 years the dodo was extinct. There is not a single complete skeleton of a single specimen, and all existing dodo models, like this one, are reconstructions.
This Dodo reconstruction was made by the model builder Iris Rubin (NHMW) and can be found in Hall 31 of the NHM Vienna.
This object was digitized for the go!digital 3.0 project bITEM.

The print in the picture was done at a scale of 12 % using the Prusa MK4 and Polymaker's PolyLite PLA Starlight Neptune. Larger scale is recommended as the legs are quite thin otherwise and more likely to break.
