spool holder for ikea ivar

This is a holder for up to 2 Filament spools. It mounts on a side of a ivar shelf. It is intended to mount above the printer, but perhaps it will work mounted below …

Additional hardware

• 25x240mm round rod (I used wood, but other matterials should work to)
• 4 bearings 10x3mm
• 4 M3x15mm screws
• 4-8 countersunk 45 mm wood screws (perhaps 40mm will do it, 50mm is to long!)

Print Instructions

• use Material of your choice, I used PLA
• 3 perimeters
• ~15% cubic infill

Assembly

• put bearings in and screw them in place
• mount it on the side of the shelf, use existing holes for the screw, so it won't leave marks if you remove the spool holder at a later time
• put the rod between the 2 holder arms

Now you can take the rod and put a spool on it and mount it back on the arms.
