Description

Heyho

I've always had the problem that my shoes were too tight in the front area. This always led to pain and blisters on longer tours.

I had tested various lacing techniques, including knots, but nothing was really satisfactory.

That's why I set out to develop a solution. After trying various approaches, I'm stuck with this "simple" solution.

The laces are guided through the XPLate and the increased friction means that the area behind the shoe does not tighten any further.

You can add more than 1 XPlate per shoe and loose/ tighten the shoe laces during the trip.

Printing Instructions:

I printed mine in Bambulab PAHT-CF Filament. But PETG/ PLA Should work fine too ,-)
0,2 mm layer height, 100% Infill.

Scaling:
You can scale the XPLates if you need other dimensions for special laces or shoes.

Assembly:

Guide the shoe laces through the holes as seen in my pictures.
Alternatively you can go 1 step further and also guide them through the hole in the middle to add even more friction. But for me that was not necessary.

Have fun Hiking :)
