5th Gen 4Runner cup holder insert

Update: Fixed slope on top of cup holder to better print upside down; the original model has stringing around the inner rim due to the gradual slope.

Original model is great, but needs to be larger to fit. The model in this post is 101% which is a perfect fit. There are two versions of each cup holder, a solid and a hollow. Ideally should use PETG for heat resistance. I printed my first one in PLA, will see how it holds up this summer…

• Solid version can print without supports, any infill you desire, the more the better to make it heavy and not come out with your drink.
  • I recommend upsizing barely, to 100.5%. This will wedge perfectly into the cup holder. Honestly works even better (and less effort) than the hollow version!
• The hollow version prints in two parts, can be filled with sand, clay, steel shot, pennies, etc. 
  • Print the base with standard settings, any infill (I did 100%). 
  • Print the cup holder upside down with 0% infill, 0 top layers to keep it open. After printing fill with weight of your choice and glue the bottom on. 
  • Hollow version must be printed with 2 walls only! My slicer defaulted to 3 walls, FYI.
    • Added a base with thinner edge for 3 wall printing.

Either size will fit both cup holders, but the taller version has been stretched to fit the second cup holder; I never use a handle, so I did not make the cutout.
