Description

I put my rockers on the back of my voron so when I flip it up, the electronics are right in front of me instead of the side of the voron. The problem was that there was also a wall right behind the Voron. So I would have to slide the Voron forward and then tilt it back. So I added a 608 bearing to the bottom of the design, so that when you tilt the Voron up about 6 inches, it is sitting on the bearing, and you can VERY easily roll it forward, and then lean it back all the way.

It worked out way better than I was expecting. It takes pretty much no effort to move it forward now. Even if you don't have the bearings, this model should work the exact same as the original if you leave the bearings out. So you can print this one and have the option to add the bearings later.

I do have some bad news. I edited the F360 file from the model I remixed, and then exported the STL. However, I never hit save in F360, and didn't realize it until after my computer had restarted from updates. So all I have is the STL file for the right side. All you have to do is mirror it in your slicer to get the other side. If anyone wants to recreate it, feel free. I'll try to do so if I get the time, but it's unlikely as this STL worked perfectly for me.

Print settings:

You will need to add supports to the area with the bearings. Otherwise, the same settings as the other rocknroll should work great.

Here's what you need:

  • 608 bearing. I think they are all the same dimensions, but just in case, mine is 22m round, and 7mm thick, with the hole in the middle being 8mm.
  • m6x25 screw and nut. The screw can be longer if that's all you have.
  • Now, I believe it should work with the bearing directly on the screw, but I had some m6 heatset inserts that fit perfect in the bearing. Otherwise, you can just print a cylinder with an 8mm OD and 6mm ID.

Now you just put that heatset insert or printed sleeve into the 608 bearing, place the bearing into its spot, and then put the M6 screw through it and put on the nut. Then install like you would the regular rocknroll.

On a side note, the original has a piece that braces the roller against the z motors bracket. I'm not using that and it works just fine, and I really don't think it's necessary. But I think it should still work with this version.
