Description

I made a set of grip tools for climbing/armwrestling training

All of these models have been tested for about 75kg (with the provided print settings)

Most of them are tagged with my online moniker “Bobbzorzen”, feel free to use the fusion files to export versions without it, should be the final extrude in the timeline for most of the files

I use some 8mm paracord for all the pieces (remember to keep the knots on the “back side” of the crimp edge, to ensure it leans into your fingers more when lifting, to not slip out of your hand

Print instructions:

I've printed these both in PLA and PETG, both work fine.

All models should be printed as is and none of them should require supports (the thick tube with bearings gets a bit cleaner if you use supports for the bottom hole, not required tho)

The crimp pad i print using 25% infill with 3D Honeycomb or Adaptive Cubic infill patterns
The 20mm-edge and 20mm-edge-fuzzy-plate are imported as one model with multiple parts so i can set fuzzy mode on the 20mm-edge-fuzzy-plate part. I use “fuzzy skin - contour” with point thickness and skin thickness at 0.5mm each in bambu studio (i have no clue what they do but this setting gave me good grip without being too corse)

The bigger pieces like the thick tube or the pinch block i only use 5% infill and have never had them break from actually lifting anything, they've only ever broken when i've dropped them on the floor

The loading pin must be printed laying on it's side (should be default layout on model) to avoid delamination during heavy loads. I use 25% infill with 3 wall loops. 75-90kg seems to be limit for PLA, (broke when shaking a 75kg load a bit). With PETG I haven't been able to break it (shook it around with 75kg quite heavily without issue)
