Frigidaire Microwave Handle Plastic Parts (5304513455)

The main handle on this microwave is made of steel, but it mounts via 2 plastic pieces (painted to look like steel). The plastic parts are fairly easy to break, and the handle is only sold as a complete unit, as far as I could find.

Print 2 of these and you can reuse the steel part, instead of replacing it. I designed it to be sturdier than original, and use threaded inserts, instead of the self tapping screws the original parts use.

Designed to work with model 5304513455, but may be compatible with others.

Print Settings

Important: For best strength, orient the part so it prints upright, as it will be when finally mounted on the microwave

I printed these in black ASA on a Qidi X-Smart 3:

• 0.2mm layer height
• 3 wall loops
• 5 top and bottom shell layers
• 15% cubic infill
• Automatic tree supports

Required Hardware

2 x M4 heat set brass inserts (10mm long x 6mm diameter)
2 x M4 x 12mm screws
