Description
We wanted to hang some Christmas stockings on the Fjallbo shelving units we have, but didn't want to use some sticky substance to do it. This is the result.
This was a quick design and print, with some attempt to get the weight to shift back under the detent intended to keep the hook attached. Not sure how effective it is, but it doesn't seem to have hurt.
I have done no testing to determine how much weight it will hold, but with the cheapest PETG money can buy it seems fairly sturdy. Obviously it could be made much sturdier if needed. I have attached the f3d file in case someone wishes to edit it.
Intended to be printed laying flat to give the best strength, and there is no support needed. I printed it with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layers, but it's not an intricate design so I imagine many other configurations would work. I am printing using an original ender 3 model, so tolerances are reasonably loose and with PETG it slides over without much force. I haven't tested any other materials.
For reference, this is the specific ikea item I am referring to: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/fjaellbo-shelving-unit-black-70339291/
Though I believe it shares similar dimensions as other items in the range, so it may also work for those other items too.
