Description
Set of 3D print to replace the clamp for CNC 4040 from Genmitsu using their screw and nuts.
The design is inspired by the clamps used if milling machine : a stair case and a finger are attached to the bed in a way that the pressure on the stock is exerted downward while blocking horizontal moves.
The filament I used was ABS, with no reason other that I wanted strength and I have 2 rolls of ABS left over from 10 years ago. I guess PLA will be ok.
The finger come in 2 length, I guess a mix (2+2) of both size is a good start.
The wingnuts are warmed before being inserted in the printed nut. One can replace the wingnut with a normal nut.
The model was created on OnShape. One can access and modify it by searching “Genmitu cnc 4040”
