Description
Like many owners of this wonderful Kingrun KP3S 3D printer, I am tired of the PSU that took up extra space on my table. A quick search on Thingiverse gave me an option that I liked in almost every way. It is a really ergonomic and technical solution and I am very grateful to the author for developing this idea.
The main thing that I didn’t like was the location of the power button and the power cable socket on the left side of the base (But this decision has a reasonable justification, and it is not for nothing that the author included these elements only on the left). Since the printer already has a protruding space at the back (the stepper motor) it seemed logical to me to place the power interface on the same side right under the motor. It also seemed a good idea to organize a convenient and quickly accessible place for storing frequently used tools under the protruding part of the heated table.
So I took the original model from goodjung, mirrored it and slightly improved the concept. in particular:
I like the final result - this is exactly what I wanted.
However, there are a few downsides that are worth considering for those who want to repeat this:
If you don't want to extend the wires or you don't need a box for storing small items, use the original design from the author - it will completely satisfy your needs.
Overall, I find the resulting design very functional and am grateful to the author of the original idea for the concept.
