Description

Hey folks,

after my other Modern NVG Project has gotten a lot of love and some comments, ive decided to create another model that is using less filament, therefore is less heavy and mounted more securely.

So this model should be better if you wanna take it out as decoration for some more intense use and not just cosplay pictures in a studio.

The drawback is that there is less detail on it and its generally a lot simpler.

I have printed the parts at 5% infill and they use the following amounts of filament:

Bridge:

  • Bridge: 45 gram

NVG (per part)

  • Not eye holes: 68 gram
  • Main eye hole: 75 gram
  • Both eye holes: 82 gram

Attaching the NVGs to the Bridge is super easy and just needs an M3 Screw, glue or both. Personally ive found the fit to already be tight and a screw to be enough.

I have also included some Inserts, in case you want to add an accent color and/or lenses. The inserts are made with 16mm lenses in mind. They should be able to sit tight if you want to remove them again, but you can also glue them in securely.

I printed mine in Glow in the Dark Filament which leads to picture 3.

If youre looking for a more detailed variant, see my other model:
