Description
I printed a copy of the sliding door lock, however I was having issues with the knob snapping off. I redesigned it to add strength and to use heatset M8 inserts in an ASA slide and it works well. It may also work in PLA - the copper colour parts in my photo are PLA.
Print the slide so that the holes face directly upwards, and the handle face down (use slim tree supports for the internal counterbore so they are easy to remove). Heatpress in 2x M8 Inserts to flush with top (The inserts are 9mm OD, M8 thread and 12mm long), slide into the door latch body, then bolt on the handle.
