Description
The active air flow via fan is installed in the wrong direction of the Sunlu 2. The fan mostly blows the air onto the back wall, and in some devices onto the front wall where the circuit board is installed.
As the Sunlu is round, the air flow should also use the direction of this shape to create an constant air flow in the device. However, as Sunlu has installed a standard fan here, this seems not possible.
I have carried out various tests on how the air flow can be improved and how the humidity can be transported out of the device without affecting the low heating output too much.
As I dry my silica gel balls in the Sunlu at 70° Celsius, this is important.
I have now 2 functional versions, this one is easier to implement.
I used this mod with the “Sunlu FilaDryer S2 Case Wedge” part, to transport the humidity out.
I printed with layer height 0,15mm
Use brim, if needed
If you use the sunlu for 70° celsius you need ASA. I anyway recommend ASA here. In PETG the part will deform slightly on 70° and probably also with long time usage at lower temperatures. But still does the job.
My advanced version requires more intervention, but is fully integrated:
Sunlu S2 airflow optimizer & active humidity exchange
