Description
Piggy ornament or keychain.
The Golden Piggy(Zlaté prasátko in czech) is a Czech Christmas tradition that originated in the medieval period. According to this tradition, the vision of a golden pig is promised to those who observe an uninterrupted pre-Christmas fast. According to the belief, anyone who refrains from eating meat throughout the day until Christmas Eve dinner will see the golden pig. As a result, during the day, meals typically consist of meatless dishes, such as the traditional Czech dish called "staročeský kuba."
