I made it by overlaying the topographic model from TouchTerrain and an outline i traced in Fusion from satellite images. The maps horizontal/vertical resolution is 30m per pixel. 

For the best looking print result:

• Use a neutrally colored PLA (PolyTerra PLA Cotton White in my case)
• Scale it up as much as possible while ensuring it still fits your print bed (~190% fits a 256mm square bed)
• smallest possible resolution
• highest possible detail
