Radiation shield "Stevenson screen" temperature sensor (weather station)

Stevenson screen for the temperature sensor of my weather station (BME280 and an additional Thermistor, but works of course also with DHT11/DHT22 or similar sensors). I printed it with white PLA and have no problems after about 12 months, even though we had already nearly 40°C this summer. The holes have a diameter of 6 mm, so you can use M6 threaded rods. The length can be controlled by the number of levels.

But I would improve a few things in the future. First, I recommend to make the upper three levels in a closed way, so that there is no hole in the middle. This is also how the professional cases are built. Unfortunately I did not model a component for this ... maybeyou will do this as a remix? ... ;-)

The temperature sensor should not sit too high up in the housing.

I also added the small optional housing, in which I placed an SDS011 dust sensor. Of course this can be used for your Arduino, or ESPs (Wemos, Nodemcu, ...).

However, I must admit that it makes not much sense to install the unit right on a house wall. Even if it's the north-west wall like mine. Ultimately, you measure the heat of the heated wall rather than the actual air temperature. Maybe you should realize that there is no "one single temperature" anyway. The WMO (World Meteorological Organization) recommends the installation 2 m above the ground, which must not be concreted or paved. In addition, sufficient distance to buildings and other structures is required.
But sometimes you just want to know how warm the air is when you open the window ... ;-)

In the meantime I have built a temperature sensor into the bushes of our property. Since that keeps its leaves even in winter, it is the perfect protection and my measurements can compete with those of our official meteorological organization (DWD).
