Description
If you make some Christmas baubles from Styrofoam balls you know that it's not an easy task to hang it on the tree. Metal pins tends to slide out over time. So I designed a quick and neat solution to this problem.
Just print it flat. For this print it's very important to have your bed leveled correctly. Do not rush with the first layer (I set mine to 18mm/s). If you want - print an additional optional cap piece.
There are two sizes to choose. If you need other sizes - scale all the parts to whatever size you need.
Just press the pointy element into your precious handmade decoration. You can make a pilot hole with a toothpick if you don't want to risk bending the printed hanger. Specially designed hooks won't allow the hanger to slide out and your amazing ornament can safely hang on Your Christmas tree for whole season.
If you printed the cap piece remember to put it on the hanger before pinning the hanger to the Styrofoam ball. I'ts not possible to do this afterwards.
Don't worry that the hooks are weak. There are ten of them and they will do the job.
You can use caps included with this project. They are easy to print, but for faster print (vase mode) and better quality (no seams) you can use a cap from my other hanger. For small size scale it 160% and for big one scale it 200%.
