Description
Stokke sells for their Tripp Trapp high chair Extended Gliders for more stability. They are recommended by Stokke when using the Baby and Newborn Sets and are also helpful to prevent the chair from tripping over backwards when the child on the chair is very active and pushes strongly away from the table.
I did not want to buy them and did not find any existing model that I liked or that fitted my chair, so that I have decided to create my own version which I want to share here. If it does not suit your needs, let me know, perhaps I can improve the model. Alternatively, I recommend to use the search, there are a few other models available on printables, thingiverse and all the other 3D printing community websites. Maybe you are lucky there.
I have printed in PETG, but other materials probably work, too. The part should not break under load, so that I have decided to print with 25% infill and gyroid infill pattern. If you are in doubt, go even higher.
I have drilled a pilot hole with 3 mm diameter and mounted the gliders with one 4x40 mm wood screw to the leg (only one screw, although the part would allow to put two screws). You can probably also use a thinner screw. The countersink hole can accommodate the head of up to 4 mm screws. With larger screws, you risk to scratch your floor. I have anyways put additional furniture glides to protect the floor.
Use at your own risk.
This is for the old version of the chair where you cannot slide on the gliders.
