3dfx Voodoo 4 4500 AGP Protective Armor

This is a set of armor for the 3dfx Voodoo 4 AGP. This card has many SMD capacitors, as well as a very tall inductor - all are prone to physical damage. My own card had a broken trace that rendered it a piece of e-waste. I had to fix that first, then come up with this solution to prevent future mishaps.

I've included variations for different VRAM amounts (32/64MB), as well as opening for DVI if you modded your card.

The inductor protector is for the stock tall inductor on the card, so it won't be knocked off the board. If you replaced it with a modern low-profile one (12.5mm x 12.5mm x ~5mm), simply omit this part.

This shell is also compatible with a common-sized 40mm x 40mm heatsink, just in case yours is missing.

The window on the back is compatible with 30mm heatsink. Small openings around the main window are for extra PCB heat dissipation.

Printing

Print in the original orientation. There is no need for support.

Special Hollow Print

If you worry too much about solid shell suffocating your card, try the following special print settings:

• Top Layers / Bottom Layers / Initial Bottom Layers = 0
• Infill Density = 20%
• Infill Pattern = Triangles (or whatever you like)
• Infill Line Directions = [-60] (if you want straight vertical lines)
• Infill Line Multiplier = 3
