Dremel 4000 MPCNC Primo Mount

This set of design provides a mount for the Dremel 4000 router unto thePrimo version ofMPCNC (Mostly Printed CNC).

Notes: 

PTEG is recommended for these parts since strength and some flexibility is required to securely fasten the router in place on the Z Axis gantry.

Post-Printing:

Mounting hardware is M5 screws 25mm in length or as supplied by V1 Engineering.

How I Designed This

The mount is in two parts. The lower mount is designed to capture the bottom of the Dremel 4000. A special screw-on ring is provided that replaces the stock screw-on end of the router. The lower mount captures this adapter and holds it in place using a clamping screw in the pinch bracket that is part of the lower mount.

In like manner the upper mount captures the router body 75mm above the lower mount and keeps the router from twisting out of place under load.
