Description
This can be used to test/use gadgets which require a Burg Wächter ME/2 or similar inline lock. These are very helpful for integrating a locking mechanism into 3D-printed models and there are already many models available which use this kind of lock. I figure a 3D-printable alternative to purchasing the lock would make these models more accessible.
To use, simply insert the lock and twist clockwise to lock, counter-clockwise to unlock. It's designed to stay put and not jiggle loose until unlocked.
This is a very easy print that should work with a variety of printers and filaments. Just print in the orientation given with standard settings. There is a built-in clearance of 0.4mm to prevent parts from fusing. After printing, you will need snap the “tab” free to use the lock. You should be able to do this using just your fingers. Print time is about 20 minutes.
