Description

Description

This is a fast and easy to print model to calibrate your new filament. It can be used to find the right settings for the extrusion factor to get the right wall thickness.

It is designed with a 0.86 mm wall thickness to meet the default prusa slicer settings.

Only 12 minutes print and 1,22 g.

 

Instruction

  • print the calibration cube with the default settings (see pictures - 2 lines: 0,86mm)
  • measure the wall thickness of the print on several locations on all 4 sides
  • take the average value - X
  • calculate the multiplier factor = 1 + ((0,86 - X) / 0,86)
  • Insert the factor into the settings (Filament settings - Extrusion factor)
  • Repeat this process until the average value is near 0,86mm
  • Your Filament Extrusion multiplier is nicely calibrated!

  • Width         - 20.00x20.00 mm (Brim - 5 mm)
  • Height        - 10.00 mm

To get accurate flow rate calibration, it can help to calibrate the E-steps at first. You can test it with this XYZ Test Cube 20mm. Good instructions can be found here.
