Christmas star, Herrnhuter style

This Christmas star is inspired by the iconic Herrnhuter stars, renowned for their beauty and elegance.

The default design measures approximately 520mm but can be easily scaled up or down. To create a larger version, simply scale the Z-axis of the rays.

Print instructions

• Rays:
  Print the rays in vase mode. If using clips for assembly, increase the bottom layers so the base is at least 1mm thick.
• Center Element:
  Requires supports and may also benefit from a brim for stability during printing.

Quantities:

• Small Rays: 8x
• Large Rays: 17x

Assembly instructions

The simplest way to assemble the star is by using glue. Alternatively, clamps can be used, but you may need to file the clamps or adjust their size depending on the bottom layers of the rays and the cleanliness of your prints.

Design Variations

• Experiment with color by using different shades for the small and large rays.
