Description
We needed a handy place to keep the AutoZero Touch Plate when not in use, as well as the two extra ER16 collets that came with the AltMill, so we fashioned this holder.
It's designed to fit onto the AltMill table, but we also made a variant that can be screwed to a wooden backing.
We spent many hours perfecting the design once it was finished.
For instance, when placing the auto-zero touch plate in the cradle, sometimes a collet would pop out, so we had to come up with a retention method to prevent that from happening.
Another thing that happened is every once in a while, when lifting the AutoZero Touch Plate out of the cradle, sometimes the cradle would slide up, so we created a retention method for preventing that from happening.

If attaching to AltMill table, use any spare M6 t-nuts (Self-Align Ball Nut), and an M6x16 button-head bolt (should have two of each left over from the build).
