Grinderino 3.5 DJI O3 Air Unit TPU Mount

I took my original O3 camera/UV filter protector design and made a model for my new Grinderino 3.5" build that reduces some of the props in view too. This model also includes arm/motor protectors with built in skids, DJI O3 air unit holder, VTX antenna holders/protectors and a top plate front mounted XT30 holder. 

The O3 camera is a press fitted from the back side with no screws attaching it. The stand-off mounting post holes are over-sized so the whole camera mount floats off the front of the frame to reduce vibration. A small strip of double sided gel tape below the camera mount on the bottom plate also helps keep it soft mounted. You could also leave a little support material inside the stand-off mounting holes to add a little resistance to movement too. When printing this part, it's recommended to print the lens side facing down since the side walls are a snug fit around the camera body.

Under the air unit and flight controller are two 3mm wide WS2812 LED strips tied to the Speedybee meteor LED output/BEC. These LEDs are wired in just behind the O3 camera in parallel and follow the 20x20 mounting holes along the frame all the way to the back. There are two channels below the air unit that extend out under the FC to protect these small 3mm wide LED strips and defuse the light. I printed this air unit mount with clear TPU so that the LEDs would cause it to glow! The O3 antenna was replaced with two HGLRC LHCP Long Range UFL antennas that had ~1-2" cut off the tubes and then glued into the two part TPU mounts with a little E6000. The antenna height can be adjusted by printing the top protective caps shorter. The XT30/holder is also glued in with a little E6000 on the back side around the wires to prevent it from pulling out.
