Description

This is a specially designed 360 degree cooling system for the Artillery Sidewinder X2 (fan duct geometry inspired by the MK4S @Prusa3d). It is not a scale down copy of the MK4S version. This mod uses the original 5015 fan - I recommend the original SUNON MAGLEV for comfort.

The design is based on my earlier remix for the Prusa MK3:

For the cooling design I used the extruder model provided: https://grabcad.com/library/artillery3d-sidewinder-x2-extruder-and-x-axis-carriage-1

The brackets should be universal for all Sidewinder/Genius extruders.

Parts

For assembly we additionally need:
1. a fan 5015 24VDC, I recommend genuine SUNON MAGLEV (affiliate link),
2. four M3 nuts,
3. screws:
M3x22mm 2 pieces
M3x10mm 2 pieces
M3x8mm 2 pieces

Print

The X2fan_mount2 part should be printed with manual or automatic support.

Print fan duct from ABS/ASA.
Fan ducts mount can be printed from PETG if you don't have a built in printer however I would also recommend printing them from ABS/ASA.

Nozzle 0.4mm
Layer 0.2mm

The cooling works very well.
So far this is the best cooling I have fitted to my Sidewinder X2.

Has the fanduct axis shifted by 1.6mm towards the engine.
Previous versions of printed parts are incompatible with version 4.

The tip from the 04.01.2025 update is still valid for fanduct version 4. 

version 5

The fanduct axis is shifted 1.6 mm toward the motor.
The bottom plane of the fanduct lowered by 1mm and adjusted to 1.5mm.
The height adjustment range of the fanduct suspension is 0.5mm.
Previous versions of printed parts are incompatible with version 5.

Fanduct version 5 does not need the redesign shown in update 04.01.2025.

I haven't printed this version yet so please comment if there is something still to be corrected or changed.
