Description
50mm base miniature of an automaton wheel with a freely rotating articulated gimbal at its core for tabletop board games such as D&D, Draw Steel or others. Inspired by the „Inexorable Time“ construct from the MCDM Draw Steel tabletop RPG
This print has been optimized for 0.25mm nozzles on FDM printers such as the MK4.
I recommend you print the individual components of the wheel cut in half flat on the print bed and then glue the halves together. This will give you the highest chance of the gimbal and core freely rotating in place, even if you paint it. You might need to trim the pins with a sharp blade if you have a bit of an elephant's foot on your print.
Additional, more complete files also added for SLA printers, more adventurous FDM print attempts or renders.
