Description
This is a line art Christmas tree ornament I made depicting the unique Armenian monument located in Hadrut's memorial park.
The diameter of the ornament is 76mm. The bottom portion is 4mm tall and the top is 1.6mm, so 5.6mm in total. You may print the top details in another color to make the details of the ornament design stand out more, as can be seen in the photos.
More Christmas tree ornament models:
Nozzle Diameter: 0.40mm
Layer Height: 0.20mm
Filament: 12.75g
Perform the filament change right before layer #21 (when printing at 0.20mm layer height).
You don't have to print this in multiple colors but I designed the part with that in mind.
I specifically made the thickness of the lines in the design 0.90mm, so that each line is just wide enough for at least two passes with a 0.40mm nozzle (line width of 0.42mm, in my case). Please report back with your results if you do try wider nozzles.
As is the case with almost every thing print, in order to avoid deformation during removal I suggest allowing some time for the plate to cool down before bending the plate to pop the part(s) off.
The monument is located in the memorial park in the city of Hadrut. The scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains, the evergreen trees strewn all across the park, the long path of white stairs leading to the top, and of course the unique geometric design of the monument itself make this of the most beautiful parks to me.
Since late 2020 the park, and all of Hadrut, is not accessible to Armenians who were forced to flee and leave their homes and everything behind, where they and their ancestors have lived for thousands of years, and the monument has already been partially destroyed and vandalized, but one day what was destroyed will be rebuilt, and the park and monument will be available for the world to enjoy. Until then memories will have to do.
Շնորհավոր Ամանոր և Սուրբ Ծնունդ։ Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
